More Than Just Lodging!
Store
The store area includes the reservations desk and a small grocery store with the basics in case you forgot something at home. We have a full fishing tackle and bait shop, souvenirs and clothing and free WiFi. The store also serves fresh gourmet espresso, a large candy supply, Lopez Island Creamery ice cream, draft beer and wine by the glass, Italian sodas, rootbeer floats, hot fudge sundaes, beer/wine, cigarettes, and cool drinks and treats for those hot and lazy summer days. Marina
Our on-site marina is perfect for guests looking to explore our waters by boat during your stay! We take reservations for 800 feet of lineal dock moorage during the summer and 120 feet during the spring and fall. Buoys are also available. Please see the Reservations Page for booking. Docks are best suited for vessels up to 30 feet; buoys up to 45 feet. No power or water on the docks. Wifi is available. We also have a sewer pump out, ethanol free gasoline, and non-potable water on the gas float. Coin-op showers and laundromat on-site. Ice, beer, wine, tackle, bait, and basic groceries available. Water depth at zero tide at the floats is ~4.5 feet (~8.5 feet for outer buoys at zero tide). Our fuel dock and moorage is not available November 1 thru March 10.
Hot Tub
Watching the sun set from the comfort of our large hot tub is a special occasion. The hot tub at West Beach Resort is free to use for our cabin guests. Our RV and camping guests can purchase a 24-hour "hot tub pass" at the store for $5. Children under the age of 6 are not allowed in our hot tub. Hours are 10A.M. to 10P.M.
Boat Launch
Our on-site boat launch is the only launch on the west side of Orcas Island and is free for our guests to use. Be sure to check on the tides when you plan to launch your vessel! Boats can be launched after a height of approximately 5.5 ft.
Pier
Our pier is 400' long, which allows our guests to get out over the water and view some truly amazing wildlife. From the pier you will often see sea otters and many different species of fish. The pier is particularly popular with the kids - you might not be able to get that fishing pole out of their hand once they reel in their first perch, greenling, or bullhead from our pier! Crabbing, particularly for red rock crab, is also great right from our pier.
Fish Cleaning Facility
Located half way down the pier, this facility includes a large table, a scale for weighing your catch, a sink, and a gathering place for perhaps a few exaggerated stories of the one that got away!
Beachfront Patio
Relax on our beachfront patio and forget about the world you left behind. This is a particularly great spot to munch down on a home-made waffle cone or Italian soda! If you must perform work, WIFI is available. Seasonal flowers and umbrellas decorate our custom-made timber bench seats and tables.
Activities Kiosk
There is no need to travel the island in search of activities... we offer them all right here! Whether you want to toodle around our gorgeous bay in a stable kayak, grab some rackets for a badminton competition, or take a motor boat out for a day of fishing fun, our activities kiosk will keep both kids and adults entertained during your vacation. We offer everything from kayak tours to daily kids activities.
We also offer great clamming on-site! The receding tide exposes our tide flats, home to cockles, butter clams, and the occasional gooey duck. We'll set you and yours up with buckets and shovels for a great adventure in the sand you're sure to enjoy! Playground
Our new playground is a hit with the kids. The playground consists of a main play structure that includes dual slides, rope ladder, and a fireman’s pole. Additionally, there is a swing set with two swings and a toddler swing and log round step activity.
Free Wifi
New! Free WIFI is available property-wide and for all Cabins, Tent Cabins, and RV/Camping sites.
Beachside Cafe
Right on the beach! We serve made-to-order oven-baked pizza, nachos, breakfast burritos, and more (some items seasonal). Three beers on tap including Orcas Island-brewed draft beer from Island Hoppin' Brewery. We also have wines by the glass, gourmet Lopez Island Creamery ice cream on waffle and sugar cones, and a full espresso bar for drinks made with "island love." Also check out our great shakes, Italian sodas, authentic hawaiian shave ice, rootbeer floats, affogatos, hot fudge sundaes, and seasonal offerings including hot dogs, popcorn, and more!
