Minimum Stay Requirements

Cottages:

7 nights summers (Sat-Sat starting 6/29/13 and ending 8/24/13.

3 nights - 8/24/13-9/2/13 and 6/22/13-6/28/13, weekends of Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving.

2 nights - most weekends (except 1 nt. OK some slow season weekends). Nightly rentals OK otherwise, although additional 2 night minimum stays may be required during busy periods.

Tent Cabins: 2 nights July and August and all weekends.

View RV Sites: 7 nights summers (Sat-Sat), nightly year-round.

Nonview RV sites: 2 nights summers, nightly year-round.

Campsites: 2 nights summer weekends, nightly all other times.

Check in time is 4:00 pm, check out is 11:00 am. During the busy summer months, cottages are rented by the week only, from Saturday to Saturday. Our cottages are "housekeeping" units, which means daily maid service is not provided. However, we include a complimentary Wednesday housekeeping service for our summer week-long guests. All cottages are non-smoking. Cribs are available upon request.

Extra People - An extra person charge of $18/night per person will be charged for each night that occupancy exceeds 4 people (or 2 in cabins 6B, 14, 15, and 16). Children 6 and under stay free.

Pets - We accept well-behaved pets, by arrangement only, in certain cottages for a charge of $18 per pet per day. We also require that you sign a "pet agreement" with a pet deposit signed at check-in. Pets must be kept on leash at all times, are not allowed on the furniture or beds at any time, and are not allowed to be left in any unit unattended. Damage to property or extra cleaning as a result of pet hair on furniture will be subject to additional charges.

Extra Cars - One parking space is available per cottage. Additional vehicles must be parked in the boat trailer parking lot. Extra vehicles are $7/day. Cabins 18, 19, and the Farmhouse are rated for 2 vehicles. Leave all those cars at home and save on ferry fares!

RV & Camping

RV sites provide water and electric service (20 or 30 amp) with a picnic table and firepit on a grassy pad (not perfectly level). Ocean view sites are located along a low bluff overlooking the water and sunsets. Tent campsites are located in a grassy/ wooded area, each with a picnic table and a firepit. A vehicle may be parked in most tent sites, while some require a short walk. Fresh water and a clean shower house are nearby. Firewood is sold at the store.

RV and Camping rates are based on 3 person occupancy and one vehicle/tent per site. Extra people (7 or older) are $7 each per night. Six person maximum per site. Pets allowed by prior arrangement - $7 per pet per night. Extra vehicles $7/day. Camp and RV reservations are available for all units during any period of the year. A reservation fee of $7 will be charged for each site reserved for less than one week. RV and camping check-out time is 11am and check-in time 12 noon.

Guest Moorage

Floating docks, buoys and dry storage are available for our guests. Due to the high demand for moorage in the San Juan Islands, we assess moorage charges for the period of your reservation. Please note that if you bring a boat which is trailered, you will be charged, at a minimum, the "dry storage" fee below. There is no charge for "cartoppers" or other vessels which are not moored and do not consume space or utilize our launch ramp. Parking of boats and/or trailers next to cabins or in RV/ camping sites is not allowed.

Gas, fresh water, a fish cleaning facility, and dinghy for buoy access are located on the pier. No electric service is available.

Dock Moorage - $28/day up to 25 ft (over 25 ft, $.60/ft/day extra)

Buoy Moorage - $18/day

Dry Storage - $15/day

Boat Camping - varies seasonally (treated as a campsite).

Launch Ramp - Guest launch and boat trailer parking is included. Nonguest launch fee is $10 per use.

Other Important Policies and Information

Reservations - We must receive your deposit within 10 days of making a reservation. Personal checks or money orders only please (yes, we're old fashioned!). Confirmations will be e-mailed. Reservation deposits are non-refundable. Deposits are forfeited for cancelled reservations unless we are able to rebook all nights of the cancelled reservation. If we rebook all nights of the cancelled reservation, deposits are held on file as a credit to be used within 12 months from the departure date of the cancelled reservation, less a cancel fee of $35/cottage and $10/RV+campsite. Any unrented nights will be deducted from your deposit. A cleaning fee(s) will be deducted from credit amounts for each additional turnover(s) incurred from rebooking a cancelled unit.

Advanced Reservations - We will accept reservations 12 months in advance. Current guests get first priority to rebook their unit for the following year. To reserve for the following year, please submit a reservation request no later than the Monday following your departure. If the current guest has not rebooked for the following year, we open the unit for public booking that Monday. A non-refundable, non- transferable rebooking deposit ($100/week for cottages, $50/week for RV and camping) is charged for all reservations made during the previous calendar year for following-year reservations. This fee will be applied as a deposit upon arrival the following year but will be forfeited if the reservation is cancelled. Please note that, for following year reservations, we are only able to quote the current year rates. Following year rates are determined near year-end and are reflected in our "deposit request letter" mailed each February for that year's reservation.

Early Departure - West Beach Resort policy is that all lodging and moorage charges be paid upon your arrival and that no refund will be issued for any reason. We must ask that you honor your reservation. The remoteness of our island makes it impossible to fill vacancies that might otherwise have been rented.

Payment - We welcome checks (personal, business, traveller's), cash, visa, mastercard, and discover.

Quiet Time - Sunsets are one of the most delightful things about West Beach. People have been watching them here for thousands of years. To ensure that everyone can enjoy them fully, please lower your voices between 10PM and 9AM. Enjoy the peace and quiet.
