This classic beachfront cottage is our only one bedroom cottage on the beach. It is perfect for honeymooners and couples and has recently been remodeled to includes an upgraded and enlarged patio and stained cedar siding. Parking for this cottage is located to the north of Cottage 1. It is rated for two guests with a maximum occupancy of four. This is a no smoking/no pets cottage.
 The living area has beautiful hardwood floors and pine/cedar interior, electric heat, wood-burning stove, dining table and chairs, a queen size futon, coffee table, and a comfy reading chair.
The kitchen includes a refrigerator, range, sink, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster. This kitchen comes fully equipped with dishes and utensils for four people. Special items (i.e., large crab boiling pots, glass ovenware, etc.) may be available at the store, so be sure to ask if you need something that is not normally provided in the cottage. One private bedroom with a queen size bed, electric heat, and a westerly- and southerly-facing window are included. There are also shelves and bar hangers. All linens are provided.
The enlarged covered patio on this cottage has made it popular. Our cottages boast the finest location on the island as we're situated on the sunny west side of Orcas Island overlooking the pristine waters of President's Channel and Canadian Gulf Islands. This patio is equipped with an outdoor table and chairs, and a BBQ with spatula, grill fork, and brush. A firepit with chairs is located right on the beach in front of the patio.
The view from this cottage is what makes these cozy beach lodgings unique, special, and truly unmatched. Your cottage is situated directly on our prime walk-out sand and pebble beach, and the water is literally a stone's throw away from your front porch. There is something magical about waking up in the morning, brewing a cup of coffee, and listening to the sounds of lapping waves off your patio. And in the evenings, sit out at your own firepit and watch the absolutely spectacular sunsets over the Canadian Gulf Islands while "talking story" and fixing S'mores.
